The problem with Direct to Home or Direct to Device new Movie releases is that it's still just TV. Can you imagine Star Wars, 1977 or Empire Strikes Back being released directly to Home Movie Apps and electronic android devices? The other problem with direct to Home releases is that the cost of the ticket reflects only one movie goer or is it 30 movie goers who pitch in to pay the $34.99 being billed for some new Disney releases? In other words, you have to making less money. If the issue is that you were not sure what was happening at the box office with cash tickets or people sneaking in, it could not have been a lot of people as the police get involved or they did while the theatre gets sued since there is no way to prove a man in the dark of the theatre is who you think snuck in and the ticket stub is in the garbage. There is no stipulation to maintain the proof of purchase for any period of time. So, now the best thing to do is create a method of entry to the actual theatre that requires a subway type bar coded paper ticket to enter the barriered seating area and make all the box offices only accept credit card or bank card payments. You will need your paper bar coded ticket to re-enter the theatre if you exit to use the washroom. Movie theaters are expected to open up again and with these suggestions, we will know how much money the movie is making. Well, someone will know. There is no doubt the movies on second release maybe within six months of original release to Netflix or the cable home box offices will continue to make money on purchase or rental. the excited and impatient will go to the theatre. I stood up for 2.5 hours and watched the last James Bond movie in the theatres. The reason is because someone wrote "The source of all your pain" in black mascara on my 2002 Audi A4 wind shield. I am just a customer service manager or a librarian. But, it seems our minds and souls have been diverted to the more pressing issues affecting our global community and the population security plaguing the North Americans. What if North America was a reserve and the population was only finding a way to embarrass Europe with pockets of self inflicted starvation around the continent? New York, Quebec and Manitoba provide an income support that satisfies unconditionally all of their population's needs. Once these issues are resolved, then our communities can return to amusements and leisure. I look forward to going to Six Flags again with the wife and kids.
