You can maybe play music for free but saving and recording music is not free as this unintended and unfair to the artists even if it is your Uncle's favourite mix tape on Mixcloud or SoundCloud where these websites may broadcast musical loaded by members of the public much like a radio station broadcasts music. The websites can also collect advertising and they can also note and collate what artist and what song is being played at any given time even if it is in the Middle of a mix of songs in an MP3 recording accessible on the site that cannot be downloaded; however. This is much like a radio station and with the IBM AS 400 computers, we can honestly and accurately account for every song played and the artist at any time any where in the world as accessed via that website that is earning revenue via the site while attracting people to the site with the music. The artists must be paid; however the standard nominal rate used by the average radio station that pays royalties to artists for airplay and this may be called the Global Standard rate indexed to radio airplay in Iceland possibly or Egypt. Mixcloud and SoundCloud are growing brands that market music and will continue to grow while also paying artists.
