Architecture and the low rise apartment building: click here for more. The low rise apartment building may have its uses when a unique location and project would benefit from the design. However, it is not easy to find opportunity to finance a foundation and to also muster all the forest and forces necessary to complete a massive project with parking, appliances and elevators also. The problem we see is when brand new low rise buildings are constructed to replace derelict low rise buildings with old terracotta roofs that were breaking down after the wars as they did not have elevators and they did not have electricity or wiring that could be updated. So, they had to be knocked down. In their places, beautiful low rise buildings have emerged under public and private finance. Maybe they are not very tall due to old ordinances that ensure all construction is below the height of the local chapel or Cathedral. In any event, the local Cathedral on avwraget is about 17 floors High. We cannot say when our population will require more living quarters but we should see space is at a premium with the future in mind and new three floor buildings do not take into consideration the issue with limited space vs. the future and the fears of urbanisation taking over vineyard lands or other farm lands. At least the emptiness that emerged in the demolition of old 3 floor terracotta roof buildings has been covered with the building of beautiful 3 storey new buildings. But, new 17 storey buildings, maybe one 17 storey building with an elevator could satisfy and equal the number of apartments found in 4 three storey buildings. This would be Ideal and some land could be returned to Green land space or just parkland. "This is my contribution"-Angel Ronan Lex Scripta by Warren A. Lyon.
