James Bond and the investigation of an International Crime.

In Mission Impossible 4,  the character Anatoly Sidorov is a special agent for Russia. When the embassy suffers attack, he is on the scene with his special team or boat team to investigate.  He is much like the original James Bond movie character who showed up at an English Jamaican Embassy to investigate what and how the deaths of several English staffers and High School graduates actually transpired in Jamaica.

This is an interesting observation when some fans of the Bond movies want to think of Bond as some mayhem addict who does what ever he wants.  They fail to see an Embassy Officer actively, dutifully engaged in an investigation.
