This means there is less cash being exchanged, fewer cash transactions and more retail security. There may be more security for the customer also as the malls may have become socio-economic battle grounds where old and young alike regardless of complexion were accused often by store managers and the item was confiscated and sold off in the grey market. The receipt was also confiscated as some security guards were given half the value of the item, reducing the value of human life to about $5.00 sometimes. One way of preventing this is to take a photo of your receipt right at the cash register and share it to your own email account.
