America did not begin as a slave holding society with its 13 colonies. Black people were largely free and some were indentured servants. The first chattel slavery owners may have been Anthony Johnson's family and they werre black; much like Egypt as a black nation had slaves to do some work when necessary but they also had free ruling people; the Pharaohs.
