This just in; international travelers' groups are trying to understand why tooth paste and cologne is taken at check in but then you can buy water, tooth paste and cologne in the pre- boarding and duty free lounges before you board. The answer from the industry is that you are allowed at least 100 ml of liquid and 1L of food sealed in a clear container in a clear, sealed bag as brought from home. Yet, it is less likely to be an issue to flight security if you buy the item on the premises. But travelers groups are arguing.
