The real truth about North America is that the territory was ethnically diverse or "not white" on day one. The idea of a white America fights against the natural grain of the land and territory. The occupation of America by Europeans involved heterogeneous peoples from Europe. Some were Black and some were white. Some were Indian or Cheddar men. This is the heterogeneous truth of the past, the present and the future. The American population is unified in this truth. The current political discussion, however, seems centred on an emotion of apologetic, UNCERTAIN involvement by the various heterogeneous peoples in AMERICA. It is as if the process and strategy of politics in 2020 just walked off the pages of Lincoln's second inaugural address following the Civil War but with one difference. You seek a black fifth or sixth generation Ethiopian, West Indian and generally African vote in addition to the ancestral, pre-revolutionary war Black population's votes while you should be seeking a general vote involving all Americans centred on the fulfilment of the Constitution for all and the various national treaty obligations( see the UN ILO Recommendations R202 ) that create a monolithic American experience of opportunity under the UDHR and the Constitution instead of socio economically engineered racially divergent experiences in America. Yet, we will all have divergent experiences. But, they should not be epithetical, socially, systemically engineered experiences to achieve fictional, hurtful, unrealistic outcomes. We have different back grounds while we also have legally protected and safe guarded dignity and opportunity for which we fight at home and abroad. This involves a right to a universal minimum income support. Politics in America should be walking off the pages of the UDHR Article 25 and the UN ILO Regulations R202; especially after two world wars that have involved Black military and political leadership. It's time to get out of a contemplation of America as wounded and war torn on the issue of race and complexion. It's time to enjoy and celebrate. Gracias!
